I met Alan years and years ago when he was in a band called These Kids Wear Crowns! My sister and I went to every single one of their concerts possible because we absolutely loved their music. They were such an energetic and talented band. We actually were in some of their music videos too! You may remember their rendition of I Wanna Dance with Somebody back in 2011, do you remember the girl who is laying in the lawn chair and presses play on the boombox….? ANYWHO!
Alan and I reconnected after 6 years and I got to meet his beautiful family in Chilliwack when I was in BC at the beginning of the month! They welcomed me in their home with open arms and seriously made me feel like I was a part of their family. We had to drive up a huge mountain for probably 20 minutes through the deepest pot holes you could imagine to get to this beautiful location (the kids slept through the entire thing it was hilarious)!
This is one of my favourite sessions to date, and I am so happy to share these photos with all of you!!
