Photographing families is such an important thing to me. It is being able to document and connect with your family, even though (in most cases) I have never met you before. Do you remember getting photographed on one of those disposable cameras? They were so much fun because they were just fun photos of what you were up to in that moment. And I think I like to bring the feeling of that into my sessions with my clients. That feeling of “we’re just doing our usual thing.” I got Allyson and Natalia to dance with each other, and Nadeem and Natalia to give each other the biggest hugs in the entire world! It’s not always about “stand here, and say cheese.” It’s more about “go run to daddy as fast as you possible can” or “make 3 different funny faces to mommy.” Photo sessions are so much fun, I just get to document you and your family while you’re all having fun!
