Do you want to know why I love photographing families? I love seeing how kids interact. I love seeing how they interact with their mom, and how they interact with their sister. And how they just want dad to spin them around “just one more time” even though we know that means eight or nine more times.

I love seeing what kids find entertaining. I love how fascinated they are with a piece of grass, or with dad’s watch (or a calculator like in this session. Avery found a calculator and she was just in love with in!)

I think what makes a family session fun with me if that I really make the kids feel as though we’re not even taking photos. We get to play for an hour essentially! We play piggy bag riding, the one two three swing game, paddy cake, and we run races. During a session, we don’t just “stand and say cheese” because that’s not what happens in real life!

Thank you Leanne, Brett, Avery and Blake for such a fun session! I will always remember the little girls playing with the calculator and the cow, and of course having a timbit treat at the end of the session!
